What is It Works Now?

It Works is a tracking tool that helps freelancers, coaches, and creators see the relationship between their intentions and their income. You log daily intentions and revenue events, and the app shows patterns over time.

It is not accounting software (use Wave or QuickBooks for that). It is not a habit tracker (use Streaks for that). It is a pattern recognition tool that answers a specific question: what conditions precede your best income?

Is itworks.now related to "It Works!" the wellness/supplements company?

No. Not at all. Different universe.

"It Works!" is a multi-level marketing company that sells wraps, supplements, and wellness products. We have zero connection to them. No wraps. No downlines. No one will ask you to sell anything to your friends.

itworks.now is a solo-built goal and income tracking app, named after a tiny book from 1926 called "It Works" by RHJ. The book sold over 1.5 million copies with a simple method: write what you want, read it three times a day, watch what happens.

We built the digital tracker for that practice. That's it.

Who is It Works designed for?

Freelancers, consultants, coaches, and creators with variable income. People who have noticed that some months "flow" and others do not, and want to understand why.

If your income is steady salary, you probably do not need this. If your income fluctuates and you are curious about patterns, this is built for you.

How is this different from a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet can track numbers. It cannot structure the intention/outcome relationship or surface patterns automatically.

Most freelancers build an income spreadsheet, use it for two months, then abandon it. It Works gives you a practice (5 minutes daily) instead of a maintenance task.

How much time does It Works take each day?

Five minutes is the target.

Morning: set one intention (1 minute). When income arrives: log it with context (1-2 minutes). Weekly review takes 10 minutes. Monthly review takes 30 minutes.

Is there a free trial?

Methodology

Does intention-setting actually affect income?

We do not know. Neither does anyone else.

What we know is that tracking both variables lets you find out what is true for you. Some users find strong correlation. Others find none. Both are useful insights.

The point is not to prove a particular theory. The point is to gather your own data and see patterns you could not see before.

Is this manifestation? I am skeptical of woo-woo stuff.

Fair. We are too.

It Works does not require any particular belief. It is a tracking tool. You log intentions. You log income. You look for patterns.

If you are skeptical, use that skepticism. Track for 90 days. Look at the data. If there is no correlation, you have freed yourself from wondering. If there is correlation, you have discovered something worth exploring.

How long before I see patterns?

Usually 30 days for initial observations. 90 days for meaningful pattern data.

Income often lags intention by 2-4 weeks. Today's intention might correlate with next month's revenue. Give the system time.

What if there is no correlation?

That is a valid result. It means intention-setting is not the lever for your income, the lever is somewhere else.

Knowing this is valuable. It frees you to focus on what actually works instead of wondering about mindset.

What kinds of intentions should I set?

Keep them simple. One sentence. A direction, not a to-do.

Examples: "Today I am open to unexpected income." "Today I am bringing ease to my work." "Today I am available for new opportunities."

Integration & technical

Does It Works integrate with QuickBooks/Wave/YNAB?

Not directly. They serve different purposes.

Accounting tools track transactions (where money went). It Works tracks conditions (what preceded money arriving). The two datasets are separate by design.

Most users run accounting software alongside It Works without integration.

Can I export my data?

Yes. CSV export anytime. Your data is yours.

Does It Works work on mobile?

Yes. The web app works on all devices. Mobile experience is optimized for quick daily check-ins.

Where is my data stored?

Encrypted cloud storage. Your data is private. We do not share it, analyze it for other purposes, or use it for training AI models.

Can I use It Works with clients (as a coach)?

Not currently designed for this, but we are exploring it. Right now it is built for individual practice.

How much does It Works cost?

What if I sign up and then do not use it?

Cancel anytime. No long-term commitment.

We would rather you try it, find out it is not for you, and cancel-than stay subscribed to something you are not using.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. If you are not finding value within the first 30 days, email us for a full refund. No questions.

Results & expectations

What results can I expect?

Depends on what "results" means to you.

If you want pattern visibility: you will start seeing correlations (or absence of them) within 30-90 days.

If you want income growth: that is not guaranteed. Awareness does not automatically create revenue.

What most users report: feeling more grounded, less reactive to income swings, and more clarity about what works for them.

Do you have case studies with real numbers?

We are building them. Users who want to share their data (anonymized) can reach out.

Early patterns show significant variance-some users see strong intention/income correlation, others see none. Both are interesting.

Will this work if I do not believe in it?

Belief is not required. Action is.

Set intentions daily. Log income. Review patterns. The system works whether you believe or not.

Skeptics often make the best users-they do not force patterns that are not there.

Troubleshooting

I keep forgetting to log intentions in the morning.

Anchor it to an existing habit. Before coffee. Before email. After sitting at your desk.

Set a phone alarm for the first week. Make it impossible to skip.

I logged for a month but do not see patterns.

Some patterns take longer than a month. Income often lags intentions by 2-4 weeks. Keep logging until you have 90 days of data.

Also: not seeing patterns is information. Maybe the pattern is "there is not one," and that is worth knowing.

I set intentions but my income is still inconsistent.

Intentions do not eliminate income variance. Freelance revenue will always swing.

The goal is not to make income predictable-it is to understand what conditions precede good periods so you can cultivate them intentionally.

The app feels too simple.

That is by design. Complex systems get abandoned.

If you want more complexity, you can add it-export data and analyze in spreadsheets, combine with other tools, build your own dashboards.

But start simple. Expand only if you need to.
